We Do's
- Push the envelope when searching for music. As well as taking new releases and rosters in to account we are continually digging for obscure/ unusual/deleted/pre-release tracks, an extension of the service we have provided for DJs and producers. Aside from cultivating original ideas, and standing out from the crowd this can often help to keep costs down
- Understand how music should be recorded/edited/mixed..... Our studio/engineers are continually working on records as well as commercials
- Work within difficult time frames
- Have up to date experience licensing music for new media (online/download/ring tone/etc)
- Have a good sense/awareness of what is clearable/un-clearable, and of current market rates
We Don'ts
- Simply farm music briefs out to record companies and publishers. We pride ourselves on our creative research and ideas
- Base our fees on a % of license fees
- Take out 3rd party licenses on behalf of clients, preventing any mark-up on quotes and keeping everything transparent
- 'Double dip', eg: receive any payment from record companies/publishers. We offer a transparent, impartial service, aimed at maximising client's budgets
- Compromise client confidentiality
- Farm work out to other music supervisors/researchers. All work is carried out in-house
- Offer free searches
